Technical Consultant, Shrimp Farming

SPF Shrimp Feeds was established to advocate for better biosecurity in shrimp aquaculture feeding protocols at the maturation and larval stages.We are the only supplier in our industry focusing exclusively on live, fresh, and natural diets for both shrimp maturation and larval stages with absolute specific pathogen free (SPF) status, tested and certified by the University of Arizona's Aquaculture Pathology Laboratory in the United States.We are expanding our product portfolio to include shrimp farm products which are in line with our biosecurity and farm performance objectives.

Our team is seeking a technical shrimp farming consultant with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in shrimp farming, and/or technical shrimp feed sales. The candidate should have an extensive network within shrimp aquaculture in Indonesia, specifically in shrimp grow out.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• Expert level knowledge of shrimp farming companies and prospective customers; the difficulties facing those companies today, and the requests from them for specific solutions to their production challenges.
• Successful completion of minimum, a Master's degree in an aquaculture related academic discipline.
• Business acumen and the industry experience to identify high risk customers who are not financially solvent; the ability to secure, coordinate, and initiate product trials and sales leads.
• The ability to initiate, monitor, and report on customer trials, providing key insights and analysis based on the parameters provided.
• A strong foundation concerning biosecurity risks associated with shrimp aquaculture at the farm, including risks associated with farm design, water intake and treatment, pond soil conditions and treatment methods, and farm operating protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of shrimp farming inputs, with the ability to identify specific competing products in our category, price points, sales volumes, and key distributors. These insights should be backed by hard data and field notes acquired during his or her career.
• Fluency in English.

This position will begin with a three (3) month trial contract and will have a fixed base salary and bonus structure based on experience and performance.
