Tax Compliance:

• Conducting tax research to stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and providing guidance to the organization to ensure tax compliance.
• Advising management on tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
• Preparing and filing accurate and timely tax returns and reports, including annual income tax returns, quarterly tax filings, and sales tax returns.
• Managing relationships with tax authorities, responding to tax inquiries, and representing the organization during tax audits or examinations.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including income tax, sales tax, payroll tax, and other relevant taxes.

Financial Accounting and Reporting:

• Overseeing the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, trial balance, and financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement).
• Managing month-end and year-end closing processes and coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or GAAP) and company policies.
• Conducting financial analysis, reviewing variances, and providing insights on financial performance to management.
• Collaborating with external auditors during the annual financial audit and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.

Internal Controls and Risk Management:

• Assessing and mitigating financial risks by identifying potential areas of vulnerability and implementing appropriate controls and procedures.
• Establishing and maintaining effective internal control systems to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
• Monitoring and evaluating internal control effectiveness and making recommendations for process improvements.

Team Management and Leadership:

• Coordinating and delegating work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax and accounting tasks.
• Managing and supervising a team of tax and accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment, fostering professional development, and mentoring team members.
• Overall, a Tax and Accounting Manager plays a critical role in ensuring tax compliance, maintaining accurate financial records, providing financial insights, and managing risks within an organization.

Job Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and procedures is crucial. Familiarity with various types of taxes, such as income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and withholding tax, is necessary. Knowledge of tax planning strategies and tax optimization techniques is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights and recommendations to management based on the analysis.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required.
• Proficiency in accounting software / ERP systems used for AR and AP management, such as SAP, Oracle, or other similar platforms, Strong computer skills, including proficiency in G suite, MS Excel, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail is necessary for accurately managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and identifying discrepancies or errors.
• Experience in managing a team, providing guidance and training, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Relevant work experience in tax and accounting is essential, at least 4 years of experience in tax compliance, financial reporting, and accounting management. Experience in a supervisory or managerial role is also preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for managing relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. The ability to communicate clearly, resolve conflicts, and negotiate payment terms is crucial.
• Strong accounting knowledge and proficiency in financial reporting are necessary. Candidates should be familiar with accounting principles (e.g., GAAP or Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards - PSAK) and have experience in preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, and managing general accounting functions.
