Structural Fitter Jobs

Job Overview:

• Fabricate, cut, prepare and fit structural or piping components as instructed to within the tolerances stipulated in the relevant specifications, drawings & WPS.
• Inspect all personal tools, equipment and safety devices before use, rejecting and reporting to the foreman if defects are evident.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policy and any Overriding Company Policies.

Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsible and accountable for ensuring that good housekeeping discipline is employed at all times while carrying out his daily tasks.
• Attend all Toolbox Talks.
• Avoid damage to substrate materials by employing good moving and handling techniques and also material protection during fabrication.
• Maintain clear traceability of all material cut offs by transferring the material identification in accordance with the project Quality plan, prior to cutting.
• Responsible for fully understanding instructions and the expectations of productivity and quality.
• High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with Code of Business Conduct.
• Continually observe and communicate any ideas for improvement in Quality or Productivity to the Fitter Foreman.
• Report to Foreman in a timely manner any obstacles which are likely to impede the crew's ability to meet targets.

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Possess fitting experience
• Minimum Senior High School graduate
