Solar Electrical Engineers meticulously involve themselves in any assigned projects to exceed clients’ expectations while making sure enforced policies, requirements, and goals are adhered to. The successful candidate is accountable in the outcome of designs and/or plans for photovoltaic (PV) plant of all sizes (residential, commercial, or utility) and of all types (on-grid, off-grid, or hybrid) with the most fitting system efficiency and risk mitigation. They interact closely with other Engineers and Project Managers in making sure the projects’ objectives and needs are met.

Responsibilities for Senior Electrical Engineer

• Maintain and foster relationships with the company’s consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops new Engineering standards and improves current one according to any applicable utility, regional, and/or industry standards, codes, and best practices.
• Verify installation best practices, installation, testing & commissioning procedures and progress, timeline fulfillment, and costing.
• Interpret, review, and/or revise site specific output and risk analysis and provide suggestions and investigation of electrical-related issues.
• Coordinate with and assist Project Managers to determine and accomplish project requirements/goals/objectives, work/construction timeline, risk management plan, budget and staffing requirements, and deliverables.
• Travel to project sites from time to time to gather site-specific data while leading and supervising engineers and other technicians, as required.
• Lead and supervise the integration of energy storage system (ESS) into the PV system.
• Set the bar for the excellence of project proposals and contractual documents.
• Provide mentorship and training to new engineering and technician personnel.

Qualifications for Senior Electrical Engineer

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP and PV system design softwares.
• Proficiency in English preferred.
• Strong familiarity with SPLN and PUIL.
• Experienced in leading design review process
• 10 years of proven electrical system designing experience, performing the duties, preferably in ISO 9001-certified company.
• Knowledge of SCADA is a plus point.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferably in Heavy Current.
• Ideally, have a good understanding of IPP, renewable energy laws and regulations, as well as market segments of the solar industry.

Travel for Senior Electrical Engineer

This position requires traveling, including but not limited to, work/project site and training.

Expected Work Hours for Senior Electrical Engineer

This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Dependent on workload and its management, hours may be somewhat flexible, and some late evenings and weekends may be required.
