About The Role
As Senior Specialist Project Manager, you will assist to develop, manage and deliver capital projects in a brownfield environment, with the support of the Capital projects team. You will also be involved in operational system strategies and operational project / modifications. Reporting to the Superintendent Projects, this role will be FIFO from Perth on a 5:2/ 4:3 roster with flexible working arrangements on offer.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Management of projects in execution working with construction specialists
  • Management of change process with relevant operational stakeholders
  • Mentoring, developing and coaching a team of Project Engineers across all aspects of the project lifecycle
  • Assisting and coordinating site logistics during the installation work
  • Identification and management of project risks in accordance with the Small Project Management Framework (SPMF)
  • Supporting the development of the project’s business objectives and stakeholder requirements, underpinning execution
  • Leading project identification, selection and definition activities through Selection and Definition Phase Studies
  • Leading development of execution plans, including scope, estimates and
About You
The ideal applicant will have an engineering-based background (although not mandatory) or relevant experience in Project Management or come from a technical background (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) combined with demonstrated delivery of projects. A background in the mining or resources industry is advantageous.
In Addition, You Will Possess The Following Skills
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience in working with multiple stakeholders
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Engineering working knowledge in dealing with multi-discipline projects
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team of project professionals (project engineers, controllers and construction personnel) in a brownfield environment
  • Sound knowledge of WA Mines and Workplace Health and Safety Regulations
  • A well-practiced understanding of the key elements of project management
  • Well-developed projects process and financial competencies in order to effectively promote and guide project value propositions
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a project with and without subordinates
  • Knowledge of design requirements and standards and scope development in a brownfield environment
