Senior Accounting (Remote) Jobs

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Officer to support our Finance Manager and take a proactive role in the financial management of our rapidly scaling company. This is a fully remote role, so a high degree of self-discipline, commitment, and excellent communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record of managing financial operations in a remote setting. In addition to overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, this role will involve financial forecasting and analysis to support data-driven decision making for our Campaign team. The ideal candidate also needs to have a strong passion for social issues and a strong track record of working in a full remote team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in the preparation of audit schedules and assist auditors during the annual audit process.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather financial data, support financial planning initiatives, and provide financial insights for business projects.
• Monitor cash flow, identify potential risks, and develop strategies to optimize working capital and liquidity management.
• Assist in training and mentoring finance and accounting intern
• Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, delegating tasks effectively, and promoting their professional growth.
• Proactively identify areas for process improvement, streamline accounting procedures, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee the implementation of a new accounting software system, ensuring a smooth transition and providing support to team members during the process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, accounting regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Exceptional numerical proficiency and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and drive improvements in processes and procedures.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in and Enthusiasm for Remote Work: The ideal candidate should not only have experience in a fully remote work environment but should also demonstrate an enthusiasm for it.

• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.
