Principal Quality Inspector Jobs

Job Overview:
Reports to Construction Quality Manager / EEHA Coordinator.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily site surveillance and reporting to respective trade supervisor
• Raise an NCR during installation and inspection when not comply with Project Specification and respective standards
• Ensure Subcontractor E&I installation complies with Australian standards AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS60079 series and project specifications
• Coordinating and supervising of remedial teams for the rectification of punch items as required
• Ensure all Engineering Design Change Notifications, Field Change Requests and associated Redline and Greenline Mark-ups, and As-Built drawings have been delivered
• Raise punch list during inspection when installation is not complied with Check sheet
• Review of contractors ITR’s & ITP’s
• Provide Quality Inputs to Project and Supplier / Sub Contractor TQs
• EEHA Instrument inspector holding with EEHA competency holder applicable for performing Conduct Day to day inspection & Mechanical completion &Tubing inspection
• EEHA Electrical Inspector holding with EEHA competency and Electrical license holder applicable for performing Electrical inspection and signing off CPX99 check sheet
• Perform Initial Detailed E&IT EEHA & Mechanical Completion QA/QC Inspections
• Coordinating at site daily E&I inspection and maintaining the EEHA Registers and related documentation
• Conduct MC inspection and Initial Detailed EEHA Inspections on both site installed and vendor package equipment
• Organizing, attending and coordinate Pre-Inspection Meetings with all parties
• Attend site Toolbox Meetings (TBM) to perform evaluations to better improve safety awareness, correct documentation and to ensure individual understanding of the work tasks to be performed by the contractor.
• Perform line walk-downs to ensure installation matches approved drawings, capture outstanding punch-list items
• Ensure the subcontractor is follow the Project specifications and accordance with AS/NZS3000 and AS/NZS60079 std requirements.
• Mentoring of E&I remediation crew to ensure timely completion of E&I scope of works
• General advice to site E&I teams regarding EEHA/E&I Installation Issues

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Inspector must have competency accordance with ASNZS4761.1:2018:
• Knowledge of quality assurance, including the documentation, and traceability of EEHA equipment
• 2.5 Install explosion-protected equipment and associated apparatus and wiring system
• Tubing& Fitting installation and Inspection
• Cable glanding installation and Inspection
• EEHA Initial Detailed inspection
• EEHA inspector holds a current Australian electrical license in accordance with AS/NZS 3000
• Monitoring day to day E&I activities
• Must have at least an Educational or /and vocational-technical certificate for Electrical or/and Instrumentation & Telecommunication
• Technical Knowledge of E&I installation, Pre-commissioning
• EEHA project planning and execution of electrical construction activities as per Company, State regulation and Safety requirements
• Knowledge of ITR, ITP, Punch list, NCR but not limited
• Mechanical Completion inspection
• Enter a classified hazardous area to undertake work related to electrical equipmen
• Knowledge of NCR and TQ/TQD management, review and approval of supplier’s NCRs, CARs and TQ/TQD etc
• Sound Technical knowledge of E&I system Layout, Schematic, Single line Drawing for Installation, Inspection and commissioning
• Instrument and Electrical Technical knowledge with a minimum of five years of onsite project hands-on experience
• 2.3 Conduct visual and close inspection of electrical installations for hazardous area
• EEHA / Ex Register and checklist according to project requirement or specification
• Renewal / Refresher Validity of Certificate less than 5 years
• 2.6 Maintain electrical equipment associated with hazardous area
• 2.7 Conduct detailed inspection of electrical installations for hazardous areas
• Interface with Client, PMT, Engineering, Procurement, Suppliers and Construction team.
• Site inspection coordination
• EEHA Inspector must have knowledge and experience with accordance with AS/NZS60079 series
