Patent Specialist (Electrical Engineering)

Januar Jahja and Partners, a leading intellectual property law firm based in Jakarta, Indonesia is currently seeking candidates to join its growing patent department.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in ElectricalEngineering.
• Detailed oriented.
• At least 3 years ofworkexperience directly handlingpatent/design matters.
• Good analytical, drafting, communication, and research skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in English communication and excellent writing skills.
• A strong commitment to client service.
• Ability to effectively monitor and meet deadlines.
• Strong time management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform other tasks related to IP andpatentmatters, and other administrative tasks as necessary.
• Handle all substantive aspects of industrial design applicationsrelated to Electrical Engineering.
• Work with PatentParalegals to review all notifications received from DJKI.
• Ensure data and deadlines are inputted accurately and in accordance with Client's instruction/data into IP Management System.
• Handle all substantive aspects ofpatentapplicationsrelated to Electrical Engineering.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for associations, conferences, conventions, and individuals, writing articles, and participating in various conferences.
• Conduct and advise onpatentsearches,patentinfringement analysis, and freedom-to-operate searches and analysis.
• Formulate strategies, provide opinions and analytical responses to client and potential client requests for advice.
• Prepare and reviewpatentspecifications from English to Indonesian.
