Kenangan Brands which attained F&B unicorn status in 2022 with close to 800 coffee chain store in Indonesia and more than 10 coffee chain stores in Malaysia is hiring Chef De Partie to design menu, and be the face of our pastry (mainly bread) and participate in events in our coffee chain stores where Kenangan Brands operates in the SEA region (Indonesia and Malaysia) to show case and share info on our pastry. Travelling required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bread Pastry Chef with experience in Taiwanese or Japanese Bread / Pastry will be advantageous
• Professional Certification in pastry making; preferably with hands-on experience in Taiwanese / Japanese bread
• Ensure that procedures for suppliers; products receiving, equipment are complying to the established standards.
• Computer literate.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Ensure high level of food hygiene and safety standards are maintained.
• Experienced in Pastry (Bread) R&D to create new menu that will woo our consumers on taste & visual of the pastry products; at the same time taking into consideration the COGS.
• Well versed in English; if can communicate in Bahasa will be a advantageous.
• Attention to detail and organization skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare food according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Prepare a wide variety of products such as bread (Mainly) cakes and cookies.
• Participate in pastry evangelism which include travelling to retail operations in Indonesia and Malaysia to Prepare, bake and present pastry to audience and answer any questions on pastry preparation
• Ensure high level of food hygiene and safety standards are maintained
• Ensure that procedures for suppliers; products receiving, equipment are complying to the established standards.
• Responsible for creation of new menu and ensure menu is documented and work process is cascaded the the Pastry team or outsourced vendors.
• Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance of work area.
• Decorate pastries using different icings and toppings.
