Maintenance Supervisor Jobs

Mission:

• Maximize equipment availability, contributing directly to Maintenance SQCDM targets achievement
• Be responsible for animating and managing the teams in terms of TQ, IP & VPS
• Lead continuous improvement of the perimeter
• Spend most of time genba
• Manage the team, in respect to the objectives assigned by the Maintenance Manager

Roles & Responsibilities:

 Manage people

o Ensure that safety rules for maintenance activities (such as LOTO procedure) are known & applied by its team

o Be responsible for induction of all newcomers in the perimeter (temporaries included)

o Ensure the organization and scheduling of training actions so that they are aware of all the procedures, tools & standards they have to know & apply in their job

o Ensure that the team is trained to Line QRQC, Maintenance QRQC, Maintenance 5 WHYs, red tags use, and that they understand what they have to do and when

o Analyse flexibility and multi-skills needs of the team, and define training plans in order to develop team autonomy and improvement spirit

o Monitor certification process for each team member and update in real time flexibility grid

o Manage daily: absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement, environment risk analysis, Key Performance Indicators

o Ensure that standards of reaction are applied with rigor and perform escalation according to standards

o Follow up main objectives in monthly meetings with the team

o Is responsible for personnel involvement and ensure a positive social climate

o Conduct annual appraisals, as well as salary review

o Promote permanently ERIM & TPM

 Maintain standards

o Perform OJT of the teams every day on standards implemented

o Ensure enforcement of health, safety, environmental & site rules in its perimeter, and that anybody entering the perimeter respect the rules and standards of the perimeter

o Ensure existence of updated maintenance work instructions for the

perimeter

o Ensure respect of all working standards (safety, work instructions, quality, 5S, respect for the product, OK start after maintenance intervention, including preventive maintenance, etc.) and propose/ implement improvements

o Define work standards with the help of its team members.

o Ensure ERIM standards are properly deployed and used by the team: Maintenance Line QRQC root cause analysis with production, red tags solving & follow up, Maintenance 5 WHYs or PDCA/FTA on assigned topics, OJT of production on delegated preventive maintenance

 Manage maintenance tasks

o Ensure maintenance tasks are done, respecting Maintenance KPIs targets in its perimeter

o Prepare the scheduled maintenance tasks. Ensure they are done respecting the planned time communicated to Logistic & Production for tasks needing equipment off

o In case of reliability issue, implement or ensure implementation of the appropriate Quick Response, in order to minimize the equipment non-availability. It can include to order, repair or get repaired in emergency Spare Parts

o For corrective actions, ensure appropriate resources are allocated to minimize stoppages

o Ensure actions to avoid recurrence are defined & taken

o React in case of issue & escalate issues at APU & Maintenance management

o Support its team on the major technical issues

 Manage Continuous Improvement

o Lead action plans to improve the Maintenance department performance, maximizing equipment availability for production

o Participate to equipment performance control & improvement, for instance by participating to cycle time measurements and micro-stoppages observation sessions

o Reach and maintain a dynamic and efficient Proposals of Improvements system

o Participate to safety and environment risks reduction

o Leads Safety QRQC for all accidents & near-misses involving Maintenance people

o Contribute to new equipment and processes industrialization and start ups

o Participate to Maintenance QRQC

o Pilot PDCA / FTA & Maintenance 5 WHYs on topics assigned by Maintenance Manager

o Prepare LLC & Kaizen Cards

o Participate to maintenance budget preparation & propose potential organization improvements

o Promote the Valeo 5 axes in daily activities, develop improvement plan on VPS, IP,TQ and reach assigned V5000 targets

Qualifications:

• Competent in Applied Safety Culture & Environmental Policy, ERIM, TPM
• Competent in Problem solving skills using tools such as PDCA, FTA
• Fluent in English Conversation
• PLC and robotics programing knowledge
• Experience in maintenance or process engineering – methods (2-3 years)
• Engineering degree or Experience in maintenance (mechanics/electrical/electronics vocational high school diploma)
