A Lesson Researcher is responsible for conducting research, analysis, and development of effective digital lessons. They work closely with instructional designers, subject-matter experts, and content creators to ensure that the lessons align with curriculum frameworks, educational standards, and pedagogical principles. Lesson Researchers utilize educational research, instructional design methodologies, and user-centered design approaches to create engaging and impactful learning experiences for students. They analyze curriculum requirements, conduct educational research, design lesson plans, develop content, and incorporate assessments to measure learning outcomes. Lesson Researchers play a vital role in leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning processes, ultimately improving student engagement and achievement.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research and gather feedback from students, teachers, and administrators to understand their needs and preferences. Apply user-centered design principles to create lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, abilities, and preferences.
  • Work closely with content creators and multimedia specialists to develop multimedia content, including text, images, videos, interactive elements, and assessments. Ensure alignment between the lesson objectives, content, and instructional materials.
  • Stay abreast of current research, methodologies, and technologies related to lesson development and education technology. Attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills in instructional design and educational research.
  • Ensure the accuracy, validity, and quality of the lesson content and materials. Review and edit lesson materials for clarity, coherence, and alignment with curriculum standards and educational guidelines.
  • Analyze assessment results and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including curriculum developers, designers, developers, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the lesson development process. Participate in team meetings and provide input on educational strategies and pedagogical approaches.
  • Design and implement formative and summative assessments to measure student learning and evaluate the effectiveness of the lessons.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
