Bamboo Pure is recruiting a lead architect to lead our in-house design team. We are a bamboo construction company located in Bali, Indonesia, with 15 years of experience building over 150 unique structures that have redefined the limits of bamboo construction. Besides working with the design firm Ibuku to build high-end bamboo structures, we also operate a full-time bamboo treatment and processing facility.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for leading a small team to design bamboo buildings and other structures. The role involves managing and generating architectural drawings. Most of the work is related to technical design development for ongoing projects and developing new bamboo designs based on the needs of clients. We are seeking an architect with experience in project management, leadership, and developing drawings from schematic design to construction documentation. A background in Bamboo construction is preferd if you apply.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work with our small in-house team of designers to develop the needed documentation for ongoing projects.

2. Manage communications for ongoing design projects with the clients.

3. Manage internal communications with Bamboo Pure management.

4. Set deadlines and delegate tasks to junior architects.

5. Develop KPIs and conduct regular reviews to evaluate the performance of team members.

6. Assist in recruiting new candidates to fulfill the needs of specific projects.

7. Develop new designs based on instructions from senior management and clients.

8. Manage timelines to complete projects on time.

9. Develop sketches and mockups, including functional diagrams and written reports with quantitative aspects like floor area, materials, construction systems, cost, and time estimates.

10. Determine construction systems and building structures, considering feasibility and integration with related disciplines.

11. Translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings and mockups to guide the construction process.

12. Create clear, precise, and detailed working drawings, final mockups, specifications, and cost estimates for implementation.

13. *Prepare tender documents, including Work Plan, Technical Implementation Terms (RKS), Budget Plan (RAB), and Volume List (Bill of Quantity / BQ) (ADDITIONAL).

14. Conduct regular site visits to check ongoing construction projects.

15. Ensure buildings are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

16. Manage projects to stay within financial budgets and meet deadlines.

17. Work with the construction team to address and resolve design problems that arise during construction.

18. Collaborate with contractors and construction workers through the Construction Manager.

19. Work with the business development team to create proposals for new projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture (S1).

2. Background in bamboo architecture..

3. Intermediate level proficiency in English (oral & written).

4. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills (capable of effectively managing a small team of 4 people).

5. Experience in bamboo architecture and managing junior architects in a team.

6. Ability to create a simple estimated price of the building (BOQ/RAB).

7. Advanced level proficiency in Architect/Design Applications.

8. Experience with related design software is a plus.

9. Highly motivated, capable of working both independently and in a team, trustworthy, highly responsible, thorough, and hardworking.

10. Willingness to conduct site surveys.

11. Interest in 3D modeling (making mock-ups/Maquettes).

12. Strong communication and leadership skills.
