Role and responsibilities

The DLT Science Foundation (DSF) is looking for a Data Engineer for its Product Development team.

The person will work with our Data Engineers in:

1) Analysing and organising raw data

2) Building data pipelines for collecting raw data and processing analytics

3) Scheduling and orchestrating jobs and performance monitoring

4) Helping with AWS infrastructure provisioning

5) Conducting exploratory data analysis

You need to have:

1. 2+ years of working knowledge with Python
2. A good understanding of data structures and algorithms
3. A good understanding of data pipelining tools such as Airflow or Prefect
4. Good working knowledge of relational databases (Postgres) and NoSQL (Columnar DB)
5. Good working knowledge with git and GitHub
6. Knowledge of distributed computing (Pyspark, Dask)
7. A self-starting "can-do" attitude: we are a startup, so minimal hand-holding.
