Job Description

  • Education and Experience:
  • A strong portfolio showcasing successful projects and a range of design styles.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Interior Designer, with a focus on leading projects and teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.


  • Ability to create detailed construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, and specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D modeling software, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to interior design.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.


  • Ability to create innovative and functional design concepts that align with clients' goals and requirements.
  • Design Skills:
  • Proficiency in selecting and specifying materials, furniture, fixtures, and finishes.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including proportion, scale, balance, and harmony.
  • Excellent eye for aesthetics, color schemes, and spatial arrangements.


  • Effective communication and collaboration with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient workflow and resource allocation.
  • Project Management:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience in leading interior design projects from concept development to completion.


  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of interior designers and drafters.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members to deliver exceptional design solutions.
  • Ability to delegate tasks, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high-quality work.


  • Up-to-date knowledge of current interior design trends, materials, finishes, and technology.
  • Industry Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations governing commercial and residential interior design.
  • Awareness of emerging industry standards, best practices, and innovations.


  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Exceptional client management skills, including the ability to understand and interpret clients' vision and requirements.
  • Experience in conducting client presentations, meetings, and consultations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.


  • Thorough understanding of spatial planning, furniture layout, and lighting design.
  • Attention to Detail:
  • Meticulous attention to detail in design development, documentation, and execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design challenges.


  • Flexibility and Availability:
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet project deadlines or accommodate client needs.
  • Availability to travel to project sites or client meetings as required.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient project execution.
