Company Overview:

We have been retained by a new investment company focused on manufacturing world-class toys of international standards and high quality. As they establish their plant in Surakarta, we are seeking a skilled Indonesian-Mandarin Translator to provide vital language support in day-to-day activities. As a Translator, you will play a key role in facilitating effective communication between our client's Indonesian and Mandarin-speaking team members. Your assistance will be particularly crucial during the initial years as they establish and grow their operations.

Responsibilities:

• Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive database of translated documents and resources for easy reference and future use.
• Cultural Understanding: Help bridge cultural gaps and ensure that both Indonesian and Mandarin-speaking team members understand and respect each other's cultural norms and practices.
• Language Support: Assist Mandarin-speaking team members in effectively communicating with Indonesian-speaking colleagues and vice versa.
• Communication Liaison: Serve as a communication liaison, ensuring that all parties involved in discussions, negotiations, and collaborations understand each other's messages clearly and accurately.
• Training and Onboarding: Support the onboarding process of new Mandarin-speaking team members by providing language support and facilitating integration into the company culture.
• Multilingual Support: As needed, provide language support for other company-related languages or activities.
• Language Quality Assurance: Review translated materials for accuracy, grammar, and appropriateness to maintain high language quality standards.
• Interpretation: Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, and other interactions between Indonesian and Mandarin-speaking team members.
• Translation: Accurately translate written and spoken content from Indonesian to Mandarin and vice versa. This includes documents, emails, meetings, presentations, and other communications as required.

Requirements:

• Cultural Sensitivity: Familiarity with both Indonesian and Mandarin cultures to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration.
• Willingness to assist in day-to-day activities and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
• Fluency in Indonesian and Mandarin, both spoken and written, is essential. Proficiency in English is a plus.
• Proven experience as a professional translator or interpreter in Indonesian and Mandarin with experience in Factory or General Administrative.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong commitment to maintaining language accuracy.
• Excellent language and communication skills, with the ability to convey messages accurately and effectively.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using translation software and other relevant tools.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to handle a variety of translation tasks and adapt to changing language requirements.
• Must be willing to relocate to Surakarta/Solo
• Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.
