Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort is situated on the island of NUSA PENIDA which is a 30-minute ride in a fast boat from Sanur Harbour and 10 minutes from the dock when you arrive.

The position is based on property in Nusa Penida.

HEAD CHEF (Indonesian) to lead the Culinary Team

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Indonesian Head Chef who will need to organize all aspects of the kitchen’s activities. The Head Chef will be the first in command when it comes to all duties involving the preparation of food prepared at the resort. You will be responsible for menu creation, food quality, achieving food cost targets, and managing the kitchen brigade. It will be the Head Chef’s responsibility to ensure that every dish that leaves the kitchen is of the highest quality and meets the criteria as set out in each recipe with consistency being the key.

Education

• 3+ years experience as a Head Chef in a 4-star hotel/resort or proven experience as Head Chef in a luxury villa of 5 years.
• A degree in Culinary Science, Hospitality School Diploma, or a related certificate is preferred.

• Comfortable in discussions with leaders and teams
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
• Communication and Influencing skills
• Conversant in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
• Self-study and independent work ethics are required
