Graphic Designer - Part Time

Suarise is a social enterprise that promotes and enables a disability-inclusive digital ecosystem through digital accessibility and digital content writing for the blind. We are pioneering professional digital accessibility consultancy in Indonesia and collaborate with various organisations of persons with disability to reach our goals.

We are looking for a new team member that will participate in our program and project that are not limited to:

• Policy for Accessibility.
• Accessibility Empathy Lab;
• Accessibility Training for Companies;
• Accessible Digital Content Writing (by Content Writer Tunanetra);
• A11yID;
• Accessibility Design Challenge;
• Accessibility Bootcamp;
• Gerakan #TantanganAksesibilitas, #kamisKeyboard, dan #BisaDiakses;

The successful candidate must be proactive and can deliver multiple projects at once, remaining in control of each project and developing visibility of the project progression. They must be able to flex to changing priorities and be proactive in their approach. If necessary, potential candidates will be tested.

The working environment is dynamic and demands constant learning.

Responsibilities

1. Developing images for social media, blog posts, or web images that conform to Digital accessibility standards (if you have no idea what is this, no worries, we will teach you)
2. Creating promotional material not limited to x-banner, t-shirt, merchandise, certificate, posters, or other materials
3. Designing presentations, and reports related to Suarise activities (some templates/design systems may be available)
4. Work alongside Suarise blind content writer to develop content
5. Accomplish monthly learning milestone
6. May assist disability user testing (if interested)

Plus skill (not mandatory)

1. Simple video editing skill
2. Being able to use Figma i
3. Being able to operate simple motion graphic software (eg After Effect)

Aptitude

• Curiosity and proactive
• Open minded
• Able to work independently, with initiative
• Love to learn and improve self skill
• Have experience in designing social media content
• Able to communicate effectively and openly
• Have a graphic design portfolio
• Interested in creating an equal digital ecosystem

Requirement

• Able to work using design software
• 1-2 years minimum experience
• Being adept in both the Indonesian language and English is a plus
• Fresh graduate with experience is welcomed
• Persons with Disabilities are welcome to apply
