Freelance - Webtoon Graphic Designer (Typesetter)

Kiwi Vine, a subsidiary of Kakao Entertainment that specializes in localization services is looking for a Freelance Webtoon Graphic Designer (Typesetter).

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Love to read webtoon
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in adobe photoshop
• Design sense with a high understanding of the use of colors, fonts, layouts, and composition
• Having work experience in a webtoon industry will be a plus
• Open to feedback and highly committed to improving graphic design skills.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details

Job description:

• Produce high-quality graphics that closely resemble the original webtoon (location of texts and speech bubbles, layer adjustment, effects, masking, filters, shaping, color, fonts, etc.)
• Preemptively notify a scene or factor that could be controversial in terms of culture/religion.
• Ensure smooth execution of all assigned projects by the required deadline.
• Promptly check and keep track of feedback.
• Re-design the original webtoons into another language in accordance with the guidelines and checklist while maintaining the existing tone, nuance, intent, and graphic style.
• Understand the importance of keeping all materials and information confidential at all costs.
• Communicate in a transparent and timely manner.
• Maintain consistency for all episodes.
• Resize webtoon images based on instructions.
