As a Fashion Designer Intern at Was Taken, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced design team and gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry. This internship program is designed to provide you with valuable exposure to the various aspects of fashion design, from conceptualization to production. You will contribute to the development of our collections, assist in trend research, and participate in the design process.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and on-trend fashion designs.
2. Assist in creating sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards for new collections.
3. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, fabrics, colors, and silhouettes.
4. Support in sourcing materials and trims for sample production.
5. Assist in the fitting and evaluation of samples, providing constructive feedback.
6. Contribute to the maintenance of design documentation and organization of design files.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, fashion shows, and relevant events.

Requirements:

1. Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
2. Strong passion for fashion and a keen eye for design and detail.
3. Proficient in design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office.
4. Excellent sketching and illustration skills.
5. Basic knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Knowledge of current fashion trends and an understanding of the target market.

Duration and Compensation:
