Responsibilities

The Economic Researcher at Traction Energy Asia is a crucial role within the research unit. The researcher is expected to contribute to the unit's focus areas, which include bioenergy issues, foreign investment in the energy sector, EV battery and low carbon development at the regional level. The economic researcher will provide valuable insights and data to guide the organization's focus on accelerating transition to clean energy and low carbon development.

Success in this role means effectively developing and implementing research methodologies, creating research designs or instruments, and understanding survey methods. The researcher will be expected to analyze data both qualitatively and quantitatively, write comprehensive research reports, and manage project work. Proficiency in at least one software program for quantitative analysis is a must. Active involvement in student organizations and having written scientific works will be considered a plus.

Qualifications

The role requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Economics/Development Economics/Economic Development Studies, at least three years of experience as an economic researcher, and involvement in at least one research project as a team member. The candidate should also have an interest in sustainable development, renewable energy, and environmental conservation, and be proficient in at least one software program for quantitative analysis.
