Responsibility

Design excellence

• Design database diagram for the new project
• Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards
• Design database architecture for production grade environment (with large data)

Security excellence

• Keep the database isolated and secure from unauthorized access
• Provide secure mechanism between database and application
• Keep the data in the table secure from unauthorized access

Operational excellence

• Administer, maintain, and housekeeping all the databases
• Monitor database performance all the time
• Always give tuning recommendation for database systems
• Keep the database stable and well-performed 24/7

Team-work excellence

• Work together with engineers on database / table / query design
• Deploy database schema changes in all environments
• Collaborate with other teams on database-related efforts including advanced support of application databases (on AWS RDS)
• Make sure to double check the task executed successfully

Trouble-shooting excellence

• Trouble-shooting production database problems
• Be able to quick identify the problem and give accurate solution

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of DBA experience is required
• Be able to do automation for repetitive task
• Be able to lead the team
• In-depth knowledge of database design experience
• In-depth knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis database administration Functions
• Fast and quick response and communication
• Familiar with scripting
• Familiar with Linux operating systems
• Familiar with Cloud platforms/technologies AWS & GCP
• Data oriented, able to quantify and measurable person
