About The Role:

As a Cost Control Officer in a coal mining company, your job description may include the following responsibilities:

1. Budget analysis: Assisting in the development of budgets for coal mining operations. You will analyze costs related to various aspects of the business, including exploration, mining, processing, and logistics.
2. Cost monitoring: Monitoring and tracking daily operational costs, including expenditures for heavy machinery, mining equipment, fuel, explosives, transportation, and others. You must ensure that costs remain within the established budget.
3. Cost analysis: Analyzing operational costs to identify trends and spending patterns. You will provide regular reports to management to provide insights into the company's financial performance and make recommendations for cost savings if necessary.
4. Cost control: Identifying cost-saving opportunities and assisting in developing strategies to control and reduce operational costs. You will collaborate with other teams within the company, such as the operations team and supply chain management, to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
5. Financial auditing: Conducting internal financial audits to ensure compliance with company procedures and policies. You will examine financial records, purchase documents, and other expenditure documentation to ensure accurate cost recording and adherence to company policies.
6. Reporting system development: Developing and maintaining an effective reporting system to monitor costs and financial performance. You will utilize software and data analysis tools to compile informative and up-to-date reports.
7. Collaboration with other departments: Collaborating with departments such as finance, operations, and supply chain management to understand and meet business needs related to cost control. You will effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve company objectives.

About You:

• A bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related field.
• Computer literacy, with proficiency in relevant software applications.
• Strong knowledge of coal mining processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience in the mining industry.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
