Civil Supervisor Jobs

POSITION SUMMARY:

Civil Supervisor responsibilities are monitoring for all civil construction project. Civil supervisor must able to study the drawings and execute the work by managing the labour, material and machinery as per daily planning. Most of civil supervisor time is spent on construction sites to ensure that all parties involved in a construction project are performing up to par.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Recommending and/ or suggesting changes to construction operations to procedures to boost efficiency.
• Overseeing, managing, instructing the construction team, as well as contractors and subcontractors
• Understands the principles and importance of planning. Monitors and track daily progress and work completed, comparing planned to actual. Takes appropriate mitigating action to ensure compliance with the plan, based on knowledge of available manpower, equipment, materials
• Ensures that all work in conformity to standards and specifications, interprets specifications and discusses deviations from specified civil procedures to ensure full compliance with QA/QC inspection plans and procedures
• Must be an excellent communicator. Able to give instructions and transfer knowledge in an efficient and effective way to co-workers and staff. Liaises with other discipline staff to ensure the optimum interface of the various operational ativities, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project
• Competent in reading and understanding specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation. Familiar with and enforces strict compliance with all QA/QC and Safety procedures, plus all company rules and regulations
• Inspecting construction site occasionally to identify and remove potential safety hazards
• Monitoring all of construction progress
• Examining and analysing blueprints to make sure that construction projects are in strict compliance with design, safety, and budget specifications.
• Enlightening site workers on construction safety regulations and guidelines, and accident protocol
• Reviews quantities of materials received or used durin specified periods, in order to minimise wastage and inefficiency

Job Requirements

• Good in English
• Bachelor Degree minimum from civil engineering
• At least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
