Job Description

Copper Bonnet Bistro and Bar is located in Labuan Bajo, Komodo, NTT. We are rated #1 on Trip Advisor because of our dedication to quality and our fantastic team. We’re known for our creative signature cocktails and our extensive spirit list, but we also serve craft beer on tap and offer delicious international cuisine. Our dedication to quality means that we make many of our ingredients in-house, from cocktail bitters to elixirs, infusions, sodas, and limoncello.


Bartenders at Copper Bonnet are friendly, highly organized and proactive professionals. They are efficient and have exceptional customer service skills. They can accept feedback from a customer and modify ingredients to fit taste preferences.


Bartenders work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Their responsibilities include knowing our signature cocktails, understanding alcohol flavors and how they pair them with mixers, knowing how to make classic cocktails, pouring draft beer, serving wine, managing inventory, and cleaning bar supplies. They also handle food orders directly from customers or the wait staff and inform customers of any specials. They restock bar inventory, work with the head mixologist to create new menu items, and undertake daily tasks to ensure smooth bar operations.


A good Bartender is friendly, organized, has a good memory and can communicate efficiently and effectively with a diverse group of customers. They are energetic, confident, have a strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages and practice good time management skills. They must be able to work quickly and methodically, in fast-paced environments.

Bartenders should demonstrate genuine hospitality and deliver exceptional guest services in the bar area.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer’s needs and preferences and make recommendations.
  • Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs, or changing out kegs, if needed.
  • Work with Head Mixologist to develop the bar menu.
  • Adhering to company standards for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Helping guests be aware of and choose menu items, taking orders and making guests feel cared for during their visit.
  • Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
  • Keeping the bar area clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles.
  • Keeping the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant.


Bartender Requirements:

  • Familiar with restaurant POS software.
  • High school diploma.
  • Positive, engaging personality, and professional attitude.
  • Strong task and time management abilities.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Additional education, training, and certificates in cocktail preparation is a plus.
  • Ability to speak English and Bahasa Indonesia required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
  • Willing to work at nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to work in Labuan Bajo, Komodo, NTT.
  • Experience working with draft beer systems.
