The Solutions Lab team focuses on rapid experimentation of promising solutions to problems faced by people living in the last mile. These solutions may be technology driven (physical or information and communication technologies (ICT)) or approaches inspired by behavioural insights.

The Associate Director  will work within the Solutions Lab team to manage the implementation of experimentation and technology distribution projects.

Responsibilities:
Take charge of the set of projects under Solutions Lab from concept/proposal development, execution till reporting without supervision
Lead, mentor and support the Solutions Lab team, which includes the design, implementation and management of experimentation initiatives
Develop systems and processes to implement Solutions Lab activities 
Contribute to Kopernik’s strategic planning as a Team Lead
Represent Kopernik professionally and in line with Kopernik culture internally and externally
Nurture the overall team capacity
Fully take charge of client/donor communication including quality control of reports
Mobilize funding for own team and the organization as a whole
Ensure the team and all projects managed by the team have a conducive environment for high quality delivery of experimentation projects
Cultivate and manage client and partner relationships
Understand client needs and develop scope of work, work plans and budgets for solutions lab projects
Collaborate with other teams in Kopernik
Support the team in data collection, analysis and report writing processes
Develop new business opportunities with development organisations, technology developers, academic partners and other stakeholders
Respond to incoming correspondence from existing and potential Solutions Lab partners
Undertake other tasks as requested
