Senior Backend Engineering Manager Jobs

8+ years of relevant, broad engineering experience, including 3+ years of people management experience.

Proven team manager with a servant leader mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to get things done collaboratively.

Experienced in how to manage, support and grow a team of talented software engineers.

Hands-on experience with web frontend and backend application development.

Demonstrates a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure with hands-on experience being a plus.

Ability to clearly communicate high-level strategy and technical details effectively across disciplines, locations, and organizations, including to senior managers.

- Experience in project management and agile methodology software.

- Minimum 7 years experience in engineering, software development, product development, or related fields.

- Good understanding of technical knowledge (system design, concurrency, and database-based RDBMS)

- Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems.

- Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees and schedules simultaneously.

- Preference will be given to those with experience in the financial / banking industry.

Senior Software Engineering Manager Key Responsibilities

Breaking down high-level milestones into requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria

Reviewing and accepting engineering deliverables, ensuring it meets all of your requirements

A degree that included the study of data structures, algorithms, and computing fundamentals OR hands-on experience as a software engineer.

Experience developing product execution plans and reviewing engineering specs.

Five+ years of experience building infrastructure for great products.

A proven experience for working with Node.js

Relevant Bachelor’s degree or certification. A masters would be a plus.

Excellent knowledge of at least 3+ programming languages (e.g. Java, PHP, Ruby Python, Javascript, etc.)

Working knowledge of nix systems, networking and internet protocols.

Proven experience with software design and OOD methodologies.
