Job Description of Housekeeping Attendant A Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for providing a clean and comfortable environment for guests in a hotel, resort, or other hospitality setting. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and other areas of the facility. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials
Job Experience
• Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred
• Experience in a customer service role is a plus
Job Responsibilities
• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, public areas, and other areas of the facility
• Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and mop floors
• Change bed linens and towels
• Replenish supplies in guest rooms and public areas
• Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
