Associate Scientist Microbiology Jobs

Educational background in microbiology, biology, chemistry, or a related field with a specialization in Microbiology.

Prior work experience as a microbiology analyst in the food industry.

Skilled in using computer software, including Microsoft Office.

Basic sensory evaluation abilities, capable of distinguishing fundamental tastes and smells.

Knowledge of SAP system operations.

Prepare sampling equipment and analysis equipment aseptically.

Functional knowledge of application of data analysis, machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis

Working knowledge of databases systems, data processing and visualization tools, and data science languages like Python, R, or others

Conduct experiments with data, build working prototype to demonstrate the ideas/results.

Utilize existing software packages and libraries, or construct new algorithms and code, to derive insights or build data science models.

Collaborate with product engineering or business teams to contribute to solve problems for customers and clients.

Ability to take ambiguous directions and high level descriptions of problems and identify precise, quantitative solutions

Three to five years’ experience within a commercial/FMCG (Food/Beverages or Pharmaceutical) lab and mainly in quality management.

Knowledge and skills in running and maintaining necessary microbiological instrumentation (e.g., VIDAS and/or Gene Up) is required

Solve problems and generate solutions by providing technical recommendations by leveraging cross-functional capabilities

Experience in Micro-verification standards (e.g., ISO 6579-1:2017, BAM, etc.)

Working knowledge of ISO 17025 standard

Excellent practical laboratory skill. Ability to troubleshoot and root cause analysis

KOL Relationship Management – Develop KOL relationships in the country to ensure implementation of TB and cancer management program in Indonesia.

Minimum 3-5 years of applications experience in Microbiology / Molecular field

Strong communication and presentation skill both in Bahasa and English, verbal and written.

Develop training plans to meet in-country training needs (both internal and external accordingly).

Ensure accuracy, clarity, appropriateness and consistency of training products, evaluates training products of other course developers when appropriate.

Collaborates with other DS businesses to assist in the creation of training materials on products and procedures for cross business initiatives.
