We are seeking a highly skilled and creative individual to join our team as a Social Video Content Creator and Editor. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling and engaging video content for our organization's social media platforms. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and storytelling skills by conceptualizing, filming, editing, and publishing videos that align with our brand identity and resonate with our target audience.


Responsibilities:

Video Production:

  • Direct actors or participants during filming to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Operate video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio devices to capture high-quality footage.
  • Plan, script, and storyboard videos to ensure a clear vision and narrative structure.
  • Develop creative concepts and ideas for video content that align with our brand and target audience.
  • Set up and manage the necessary equipment and props for video shoots.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of video production, including managing shooting schedules and locations.


Video Editing and Post-Production:

  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance the video content.
  • Optimize videos for various social media platforms, taking into account aspect ratios, video lengths, and file formats.
  • Select and synchronize appropriate music, voice-overs, and sound effects.
  • Edit raw footage into high-quality videos, ensuring seamless transitions, appropriate pacing, and visual coherence.
  • Enhance video and audio quality through color grading, sound mixing, and other post-production techniques.


Social Media Management:

  • Ensure video content is optimized for maximum reach and engagement on social media platforms.
  • Regularly monitor video performance metrics and make data-driven adjustments to improve video content.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to develop video content strategies that align with overall social media objectives.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of social media trends and best practices for video content.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with team members and external parties to coordinate video shoots, gather feedback, and ensure project success.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and content teams, to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across video content.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, goals, and timelines.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of video optimization techniques for social media, including aspect ratios, file formats, and video lengths.
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with camera equipment, lighting techniques, and audio recording equipment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Proven experience in video production and editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., film production, media studies, communication) or equivalent work experience.
  • Attention to detail, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and video composition.
  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to conceptualize ideas into compelling video narratives.
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms and their video requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
