Supervisor - Qaqc Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing all aspects of mechanical inspection activities with minimum supervision.
• Ensure Mechanical ITP stages are followed and complied.
• Inspect / review product material, weld quality and testing to ensure compliance with code, standards, specifications and QCM.
• Coordinate quality site inspections with all sites sub-contractors and vendors, coordinate all non-destructive testing on site, and monitor the implementation of the approved site QC plan.
• Timely completion of paperwork and mechanical turnover binder.
• Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters.
• Communicate with management, staff, and Contractor the requirements of quality's scope of work.
• Verify that all site activities comply with the quality codes and standards.
• Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed in a timely matter meeting project deadline.
• Review IFC P&ID's, ISO's & vessel drawings to ensure appropriate WPS are referenced with weld details and overall accuracy.
• Identify and control all NCR's while correcting with remedial action.
• Develop inspection and test programs.
• Witness all pressure testing; finalize testing documentation.
• Follow the QA/QC management system at sites.
• Ensure supplies and external services comply with Strike quality control standards.
• Monitor Mechanical operations and conduct required inspections work to resolve quality related issues with workers, subcontractors, and the client.
• Coordinate with all quality issues and distribute relevant QC/QA documentation to site sub-contractors.
• Review radiographic films.

Qualifications

• This position is contract based on the project.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• This position works on a site with a roster system.
• Demonstrate a good understanding environmental regulations and requirements.
• Ability to influence and drive contractor to improve safety, quality, and production.
• Minimum academic qualification is a bachelor's in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in welding inspection or fabrication of piping, vessels and tank to international codes (ASME, AWS and API 650).
• Five (5) years of experience as QC Inspector.
