Statutory Finance & Accounting Manager Job Brief

This position is responsible for preparing the monthly and annual Statutory Accounts and associated notes. They have responsibility to ensure effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting and to ensure all financial compliance, monitoring covenants and financial reporting (BI, LKPM, Customs) to be submitted accurately and in timely manner. They will also lead the external audit process, demonstrating a pro-active approach to prepare for the audit with the aim of ensuring timely submission of the annual audited financial statements.

The role is integral to our Finance team within the pulp and paper group. This means the jobholder will be working alongside a group of people who are all focused on promoting the financial integrity and efficiency of the group through exceptional accounting, reporting and analysis.

Key accountabilities:

1. Takes responsibility for the statutory accounting and reporting for the group consolidated accounts, and driving completion of the statutory accounts in a timely manner.
2. Responsible for the accounting on a monthly and annual basis, working in conjunction with the Financial Controller Team and to participate in the development of ongoing Digitalisation projects.
3. Works closely with Finance operational team, and its Executives to complete the Annual Report to a high standard in line with best practice.
4. Pro-actively maintains up to date knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (PSAK and IFRS) and its development and other statutory regulations and takes a leadership role in sharing these with the wider Finance organization.
5. Leads on the preparation of the external audit, working with colleagues across functions to plan and produce the audit requirements, in a timely an accurate manner.
6. Pro-actively seeks areas to improve internal control and processes over financial reporting process.
7. Contributes to the leadership across the Finance team, and strives to deliver outstanding results and service.
8. Acts as an enthusiastic, positive and motivated role model for the team.
9. Builds a culture of continuous improvement, integrity and openness to change.

Job Requirement:

Statutory Finance & Accounting Manager is a qualified accountants, who have specialised working knowledge of requirements such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as experience of working with local regulators :

1. Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, CPA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in finance management and good knowledge of fundamental accounting. Having experience in Big 4 will be an advantage.
3. Overall work experience minimum 10 years with at least few years in manufacturing company.
4. Familiar with SAP.
5. Fluent in English, both oral & written.
6. Willing to be placed in Pangkalan Kerinci – Riau – Sumatra ; open to move to other national or international roles.
