A Luxury Villa inUluwatu, Baliis looking for a talented and enthusiasticSommelier (Full-time)

Responsibilities:

• Analyse budget, cost planning and ensure that the wine cellar is fully stocked
• Ensure that all hygiene standards are in line
• Inform guests on the variety of wines available
• Create and update wine lists with the Chefs and Manager
• Create strategies to improve revenue
• Make recommendations on food and wine pairings
• Organize wine tasting events
• Train the staff on available wines
• Take order and serve the order to the guests
• Negotiate prices with vendors
• Comply with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Excellent leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate the team
• Innovative and able to work well under pressure
• Extensive knowledge on wines and regions of different types
• Friendly, organized and has a good memory
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Indonesian citizen
• Proven experience as a Sommelier or in a similar role in a restaurant with a large International wine selection would be a plus
• Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance
• Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries
• Certification as a Sommelier or a degree in Hospitality would be a plus
• An understanding of the wine making process
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
