Social Media Assistant Manager

Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to work in social media within the Marketing department, with the main aim to improve engagement and grow the JD Sports social media channels. This includes producing regular reports and monitoring the success of ongoing social media marketing activity. Ensuring the channels are kept up to date with content, customers are responded to where necessary and we continue to grow the online Tessuti community.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

To continually build and improve the Tessuti presence across Instagram, Tik Tok, and other channels.

• Report back on any campaigns and competitions to show the benefits and coverage obtained. Also, commercial results for each campaign where necessary so we can showcase the benefits and value of social to the wider business.
• Support in event planning and management, whether this is with influencers, store events or wider marketing events that are taking place for the brand.
• Work with the buying/merchandising team on ensuring all relevant product is being promoted and showcased in the best way possible.
• Working with the Marketing Manager to implement the strategy to both engage and grow the channels.
• Work with influencers on a regular basis to produce content and build a digital community for the brand.
• Build and retain a loyal customer following across all social media channels.
• Ensure regular content is pushed out across social media channels.
• Develop the use of a social monitoring tool to gain consumer insights, target influencers and report success.
• Maintain and enhance online conversation through the creation of engaging content.
• Work with the wider Multi-Channel and marketing teams on developing integrated strategies that ensure social is always in the heart of what we do.
• Carry out strategies and campaign ideas that will help improve follower numbers and interaction figures across all channels.
• Work with brands and third parties on promoting campaigns and competitions.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed

Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the branded fashion industry is advantageous.
• Experience of scheduling and planning of social media.
• Previous experience of blog writing and social media community management is key.
• Strong organisational skills essential.
• The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
• A willingness to learn new skills.
