Senior Staff Nurse - Outpatients
Location – HCA Healthcare UK, Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH), 170 Tottenham Court Rd, London W1T 7HA
This role is a 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday and requires flexibility shift pattern.

About The Role
The Institute of Sport Exercise and Health (ISEH) is a specialised outpatient and diagnostic facility centrally located on Tottenham Court Road. Our aim is to be a world leading institute for sports and exercise medicine. We provide excellence in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of sports injuries and illnesses, whilst bridging the gap between elite sport and recreational physical activity to support the improvement of the health of the nation.
We want staff who are passionate about helping individuals make a difference to their sport, lives, and health. As such, we are seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to work at ISEH, where you will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Promote good communication channels amongst staff enhancing good team work
• To maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
• Respect and ensure patients privacy and confidentiality
• To demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions
• Perform clinical audits and delegate as required.
• Contribute to research-based care and other practice development initiatives
• Assess, plan and deliver care to meet patient and family needs
• Coordinate staffing levels with OPD charge nurse.
• To deputise for senior staff in their absence, demonstrating leadership and management
• Contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedure
• Undertake extended roles such as phlebotomy

Skills & Experience

• Registered Nurse Level 1
• Phlebotomy training desirable
• UKCC Registration and PREP requirements
• Knowledge of relevant NMC/national guidelines, policies and procedures (Code of conduct)
• ENB course/experience relevant to specialist area is desirable
• Experience with Datix reporting system.
• Experience in sport medicine, orthopaedics and / or outpatient services is desirable.
• Basic Life Support.
