The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test with the ability and passion for building solutions to people-centered problems that are created at the intersection of human behavior and technology. What makes this role special?

• Full responsibility for creating QA processes, test suites, and QA pipelines for Headout apps website.
• Get your hands dirty with test framework implementation, testing infrastructure setup, and setting up regular reports.
• You will be Headout's first of the engineers in the region
• Build and contribute to open-source libraries and components.
• Be up to date with new features, changing paradigms and everything else in software testing.

We like

• Passion for bug-free UI.
• Coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, services, and physical devices.
• Anything else that can surprise us.
• Have hands on experience on test frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.
• Brief knowledge and hands on experience on Basic Unix commands.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Have hands on experience on Automation tools like selenium and Rest Assured.
• 3-6 years of experience in website, mobile, backend automation and manual testing(preferably a combination of at-least or more).
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly.
• Experience in writing code with programming languages like python or Java, or both.
• Experience with Agile testing methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to list down test cases/scenarios to test any application using the test case design techniques
• Have a decent knowledge or working experience on BDD framework like CUCUMBER.
• Good CS fundamentals, including good working knowledge of oops concepts, classic algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with Database querying, using SQL or MongoDB
• Solid understanding of how the web works and it's underlying communication protocols.

Bonus

• You have a demonstrated interest in marketplaces, travel, events and all things experiential.
• You have spent a considerable amount of time in the US and really understand the market’s pulse.
• You have experience starting or scaling a successful startup.
