Senior Backend Engineer (Side Job)

As a part of Product team, we will help our Japanese startups in eSports, AI and Blockchain.

You will be assigned to one of projects and work as a Backend Engineer to achieve their business goal. Youdo not have to quit your company, as you can work on this position aspart-time contract. So basically you canadd some bonus to the compensation from your current company.

Responsibilities:

• Design new web-services
• Helping to support and extend the core platform
• Implement back-end infrastructure components.
• Driving forward API development for our products and client project.
• Create unit tests and integration tests to ensure quality.

Required Skills

• Familiarity with Testing/Debugging tools.
• Should be able to setup, create, and maintain unit tests and integration/functional tests.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and modern encryption algorithms in general
• Basic Security knowledge
• Fluent in English
• Skills to find and resolve the causes of poor system performance
• Basic knowledge of container-based development
• Proficiency in Go.

Bonus if you have

• Contributions to or active participation in the OSS community.
• Experience with Python or TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud databases such as Firestore, Cloud Datastore, Cloud Spanner, Amazon Aurora, etc.
• Experience with cloud services such as Firebase, GCP, AWS, etc.
• Experience in the development and operations of large scale web services

MUST HAVE CRITERIA

• Must be able to contribute 20+ hours/week (work hour will be tracked by Clockify)
• 5+ years of working experience as Backend Engineer (Internship not included as work experience)
• Only Indonesian engineers and living in Indonesia
• Should have high skill of English (Business Level)
• Proficient in GO
• Must have 1+ year of working experience as a Senior, Lead, or Principal Software Engineer in Traveloka, Tokopedia, Gojek, Bukalapak, Grab, Blibli, Shopee,Tiket. com, Garena, OVO, DANA,ORAjaib. (Internship and just Software Engineer will not be selected)

note:

Engineers with this following conditions are not recommended to apply:

• Need to commute to office 3+ times per week
• Need almost 2 hours to commute to the office

Our Working Condition:

• Full Remote
• 40 hours per week = 256,000 JPY ~352,000 /Month
• Compensation will be paid only for the period when you are assigned to projects (but most likely we have some projects once you're hired)
• 20 hours per week = 128,000 JPY ~ 176,000/Month
• Must be able to work 20+ hours per week
• 25 hours per week = 160,000JPY ~ 220,000 / Month
• Hourly rate : 1600 JPY ~ 2200 JPY
