Senior Backend Engineer Jobs

BFI is looking for experienced and talented engineers to join our team! Our Product teams are looking for Backend developers to help us build a Digital Financing platform and its APIs. You will be responsible for the design, build and maintenance of our backend system. This role will be directly impacting the customer experience through the performance and reliability of our system.

BFI provides financing services to people who need access to credit. Our product varies from collateral based vehicle financing to property based financing. We are embarking on digital transformation journey to bring this service to our customers through digital channel and innovations.

Responsibilities:

 Work closely with Product and Design team to build good products

 Work closely with Frontend Engineers to design and build APIs

 Build quality software and ensure high code coverage by writing unit and integration tests

 Document and maintain technical documentation to be always up-to-date

 Build integration with 3rd party or legacy software systems when required

 Write scalable and efficient codes along with good documentation

 Communicate and collaborate with other teams to achieve business objective

 Continuously learn and improve technical capabilities  Mentor more junior team members

Qualifications:

• Experience in building high performance TPS applications is a big plus
• Experience in microservice architecture is a big plus
• Worked in agile environment and has good grasp of agile cadence
• Experience working with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Elastic)
• Understanding in application security, authentication, and writing secure codes
• Experience in one of prominent language such as Java Spring boot will be priority, Go, Typescript, etc
• Capability to design API specification
• Understanding in application performance and capability in writing codes to achieve low latency and high speed APIs
• Experience in writing Unit and Integration test
• 4+ years (senior role) of experience as a backend engineer working with medium to large projects
• Experience working with message brokers (RabbitMQ) and caching
