We are now seeking a full-time Senior Accountant, Finance & Accounting to join our team in GFS - Global Freight Services (An Affiliate of Li & Fung)

What You'll Do Is To....

• Review and improve internal control procedures
• Support budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with country BU management and provide analyses for presentation to corporate management
• Provide monthly reports and analyses on a timely basis to support management decisions and satisfy corporate requirements
• Full set of accounts encompassing responsibilities in AR, AP, and GL
• Monitor working capital, cashflow, banking facilities and credit control process to ensure business risks within corporate policy
• Liaison with external auditors
• Manage full accounting functions to support daily business operations and ensure accurate financial results in management and statutory accounts
• Manage daily payments closely with the shared services center (AP)
• Timely preparation, review, and submission of taxation reports such as VAT, withholding tax filings, tax return information packages.
• Manage account receivables and cashflow
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
• Supporting Business Development / Operation team in terms of financial information which required

You will thrive in the role if you ……

• Strong understanding of local tax regulations an advantage
• Experience in reporting tools and databases is a definite advantage
• Able to handle multiple stakeholders and coach the team to deliver quality results within timelines
• Freight forwarding business experience a prerequisite; Cargo Wise/Oracle EnterpriseOne/Hyperion system working knowledge preferred
• Accounting degree or equivalent professional qualification
• 5-7 years of accounting experience
• Business acumen with good communication and interpersonal skills
