Our Malaysia Fixed Income & Sukuk team is seeking an experienced professional in fixed income credit research with an emphasis on analyzing Malaysia bond issuers to join us as a Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst. Successful candidate will also be part of our Global Credit team and conduct extensive credit risk analysis and trade recommendations of issuers in the Asia region with a focus on ASEAN countries. This role will report directly to Chief Executive Officer/Head, Malaysia Fixed Income & Sukuk.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
  • Play an active role and contribute to our proprietary credit scoring module and conduct company visits, manage the relationship with external researchers and continuously review the counterparty’s credit standing.
  • Monitor and manage portfolio risks and other parameters as defined under the investment process.
  • Support the Portfolio Managers in managing active fixed income portfolios: create trade lists, implement strategies (including providing currency views), and interact with the different research groups within the Fixed Income team.
  • Independent research with opportunity to explore new ideas for portfolio management purposes.
  • Servicing of current and new clients including preparation of presentation materials and market write-ups.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly strategy calls and meetings.

  • Strong critical thinking and analysis skills
  • Strong knowledge of bond market dynamics and industry trends
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in credit research
  • Committed to learning and sharing insights with team on a timely manner
  • A Bachelor’s degree. CFA or equivalent is highly desirable
