Caterpillar Indonesia Batam has an exciting opportunity available as a Quality Specialist based in Batam, Indonesia.

When you join team Caterpillar as a Quality Team, you will be responsible for championing facility quality programs in adherence with the Caterpillar QMS (Quality Management System) at Batam facility. This would include execution of Global Quality processes in support of Facility CQMS (Caterpillar Quality Management System) certification and CAV (Customer Acceptance Validation) – core process application.

You will be responsible for providing total support for Supplier Quality Zero Defect, Parts, and Materials technology. You will ensure conformity to global quality processes defined in the Caterpillar Quality Management System (QMS), day-to-day management of quality resources, and ensure resources are trained and competent.

As Quality Specialist, You Will

• Audit Plan set Up for IQA (Incoming Quality Audit).
• Involve defining process metrics and targets at the appropriate level and ensure these metrics and targets support enterprise metrics and targets.
• Involve and manage standards for quality management systems, quality planning and strategy, control plans, including documentation requirements, traceability, audit procedures and process control requirements.
• Manage the Lab cost and purchase Lab equipment, tools, and Gauges.
• Develop Quality metrics and Check lists following the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) Process.
• Quality Gate planning and Quality Gate continuous improvement which includes Gate Documentation; Gate Checklists; Quality Staffing Plan; Work Instructions.
• Perform Quality Management and Operation in a safe manner.
• Contribute to analyzing the Quality Gate data and field performance and make decisions and assign action-items related to improvement of the effectiveness of the quality management system and their processes, improvement of the product related to customer requirements, and resource needs.

The Successful Candidate Must Bring

• 3 (three) years of working experience in quality management.
• Proficient in English language.
• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical design/manufacture.

Top Candidate Will Also Have

• Good analysis, diagnostic and judgment skills, and good computer skills.
• Good interpersonal skills are essential to develop a cooperative working relationship with others, both inside and outside the organization.
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning Tolerancing), QMS (Quality Management System), 6 Sigma, CQA, CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), etc. would be advantages
• Used to operating SAP and QM (Quality Management) is preferred.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Physical Requirements (with Or Without Reasonable Accommodation)

• This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.

Additional Information

Shift: Regular

Work location: Batam, Kepulauan Riau

You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.

Domestic relocation is available for this position.
