Job Description

Role Overview:

As the Program Coordinator for ATOVA Indonesia, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Program Leaders in the delivery of the organisation's core programs. You will facilitate and deliver classes, work closely with beneficiaries to support their learning and development, and conduct community support visits to provide guidance to volunteer teams across Indonesia. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring and evaluation of selected core programs, translation work, and supporting international volunteers. This is a full time position with regular travel.


Key Responsibilities:


Education and Volunteer Development:

  • Assist in training and developing volunteers for ATOVA's core programs.
  • Assist with translation and communication support during sessions and meetings.
  • Monitor beneficiary attendance and report to the program leader.
  • Create and maintain a positive learning environment for beneficiaries, students and staff.
  • Aid in monitoring beneficiary progress and assessments.
  • Facilitate program lessons by providing support, training, and guidance to volunteers.


Advertisement & Recruitment:

  • Accompany Program Leaders on community selection visits.
  • Support the recruitment, selection, and training of Indonesian volunteers.
  • Collaborate with Program Leaders on the growth and expansion of ATOVA's reach.
  • Recruit beneficiaries for all ATOVA programs to ensure capacity and impact of programs is maximised.
  • Establish connections and initiate dialogs with village leadership.


Administration:

  • Respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain working relationships with project partners.
  • Provide regular updates and content for social media platforms.
  • Organise and maintain the ATOVA Field Base.
  • Report writing & Monitoring and evaluation processes.
  • Arrange transport for ATOVA Operations as required.


Finance & Fundraising:

  • Ensure accountability and transparency in financial matters.
  • Assist in awareness raising and fundraising initiatives.
  • Manage cash advances and returns for duties carried out on behalf of ATOVA.


Transport & Logistics:

  • Report stock shortfalls and requirements in a timely manner.
  • Conduct vehicle checklists and assist with site maintenence.
  • Share emergency Tier 2 responsibilities with other Program Coordinators as per the ATOVA Casevac procedure.


Community Engagement:

  • Participate in community events and build strong local relationships.
  • Immerse yourself in the community and attend language lessons.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with project partners.

  • Represent ATOVA Indonesia respectfully and modestly in public in keeping with the core values of ATOVA.
  • Work to embody the three pillars of ATOVA in daily life and professional practices.

  • Show proper respect to Program Leaders and senior members of the organisation.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to immerse in the local community whilst remaining open to embracing different cultures and traditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both Bahasa Indonesia & Bahasa Inggris, (Indonesian & English).
  • Proficiency in translation and language support.
  • Competence in Microsoft office software.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation processes.
  • Experience in program coordination, volunteer management, teaching or other related fields.
  • Indonesian National / Right to live and work in Indonesia.
