Job Description

Requirements :

  • Possess some professional teaching qualification such as Council of British International School (COBIS) International Teaching Assistant certificates.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Possess good computer literacy (Google Suites and Apple Office software)
  • Possess good written and verbal English and Bahasa Indonesia language proficiency.
  • Possess special knowledge, training or experience with individual needs, abilities, and limitations.
  • Minimum S1 / Bachelor of Education or related subjects.
  • Possess communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively liaise with students and other parties


:

  • In liaison with the Line Manager, take responsibility for upholding Health and Safety practice within their own working area and be responsible for completing risk assessments/near misses as appropriate.
  • Maintain relationships with students, parents, BSJ staff and other parties involved in the learning teaching activities.
  • Monitor student activities and ensure good discipline and behaviour within the class, maintain student engagement and safe learning environment according to the school’s standards.
  • Maintain student’s learning records in order to monitor the effectiveness of learning activity and teaching plan.
  • Identifying student’s individual needs to prepare unique learning programs that enhance their knowledge and ability.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as advised by the IN Coordinator or the Head of Secondary.
  • Counsel students and teachers about the student's individual needs and progress and recommend additional support so the learning activity and teaching plan are conducted effectively.
  • Formulate individualised learning programmes to meet student’s individual needs which are consistent with the school’s curriculum and standards.
  • Recommend relevant teaching materials such as textbooks, guides, assets and other materials so teaching activities are delivered with high quality resources.
  • Work with small groups of students with IN to support them in class so they may access the school curriculum successfully
  • To be familiar with, and uphold all, Safeguarding policies and Child Protection and Responsible Use of Data policies and procedures within the school.
