Role Summary:

As an IT Operations Manager HIC, you are accountable for all the Infrastructure related services in HIC, This includes SLA performance, demand management, financial management and stakeholder management. Taking end-to-end accountability for all IT-related services for HIC in the ISC region while driving IT operational excellence. Provide leadership to a group of Technical Specialists who provides or partner with other IT functions in ensuring comprehensive and robust end to end service solutions are delivered to the region. The ability to transform the operational-oriented support organization to a customer focus and boost capabilities to strengthen the businesses in their digital needs while leveraging talent, skills and capabilities within the region or across the globe.

You will part of the Asia Pacific IT team as we steer forward towards our transformation journey to become a customer-focused, digitally-savvy, collaborative and agile organization, which is a great place to work.


You are responsible for

  • Provides inputs for creation of mid and short-term vision and transformation based on the long-term vision.
  • Evaluate investment decisions that balance and prioritize current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the organization.
  • Owns the Global IT service catalog and ensures that it is transparent, up to date and aligned with key stakeholders Monitor quality, effectiveness and efficiency of IT services and communicate and report performance of IT services and programs towards relevant IT and business stakeholders as deemed necessary.
  • Drive Infrastructure services continuous improvement across HIC, by partnering with either our Global Infrastructure team or respective partners across the region.
  • Tracks and manages service consumption vs available budget; initiates actions based upon discrepancies. Proactively report out service delivery and operations KPIs per service area and functional area.
  • Accountable for all running services delivered by Global IT Services towards our Business Groups/Markets/Functions, ensuring operational excellence, reviewing performance of all internal and external stakeholders in relation to the service performance based on agreed SLAs / OLA’s / UC’s.
  • Manages, communicates and engages on Annual Operating Plans and Forecasts with key stakeholders.
  • Enables successful delivery of Business and IT programs & projects upon business requirements through coordinating IT Global Services deliverables & resources using monitoring, measuring, reporting and review current performance of services and components to ensure business requirements are always achieved.



Qualifications & Soft skills

  • At least 12 to 15 years of IT and business work experience with exposure to various technical environments or business segments / other equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in managing a region or sub-region would be a plus.
  • A talent incubator who is able to drive a diverse Asia Pacific IT team toward common objectives for the betterment of the company.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, team player and the ability to establish relationship with senior business stakeholders as a IT trusted advisor from an IT operations perspective.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Solid experience with managing team(s) responsible for strategic planning, business development or client management and working with a broad range of diverse and complicated business units.
  • Strong stakeholder management within a multinational organization.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly language while demonstrating the capability to apply IT in solving business problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong written and oral English.
  • Exposure to developing and deploying the latest digital technologies and well versed in the latest development of such technologies in the Asia Pacific markets.
  • Affinity for IT and a willingness to deepen understanding of current and new technologies.
  • Result-oriented and creative problem solver with a strong can-do attitude and ability to dissect a complex problem and follow through in implementation of strategies.
