It Infrastructure Manager Jobs

Position Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Manager plans, directs, and designs the company’s IT infrastructure while managing the IT team responsible for maintaining that infrastructure. They also enable the DevOps pipeline to ensure that there is smooth delivery from Engineering outputs into production environments.

Area of Responsibility:

Continually legal new technology and processes

• Recommend proof-of-concept for emerging technologies and DevOps processes to test the applicability of the technologies for their team
• Conduct internal training sessions for the team to ensure that knowledge is shared
• Keep up to date on existing technologies and DevOps processes to find methods for continual improvement

Maintain Technical Literacy and Problem-Solving Skills

• Maintain a reading list of technical resources that are reviewed regularly to find methods for continual improvement
• Dedicate time to practice and improve technical and interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication between all parties
• Evaluate personal and technical learning needs, and work with your manager to address these needs to increase your skill set

Communicate Effectively Among and Between Stakeholders Groups

• Provide constant updates to your team on external factors and how their work is making an impact to provide a sense of purpose to the team
• Collaborate with other TEC departments to ensure predictable and consistent delivery of value
• Ensure that stakeholders are aware of progress and obstacles within your team to facilitate timely discussions

Position Requirement:

• 3-5 years of infrastructure & DevOps experience
• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
• Understanding of project management principles
• Working knowledge of infrastructure, software architecture, and testing
• 2-3 years of leading a team (at least 1 year leading a team of 10+)
• Working knowledge of existing DevOps processes
• Working knowledge of at least one of Go, Python, C#, Javascript
