Key Accountabilities

Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Manager is a newly created role to support our Indonesia Belawan New Container Terminal (BNCT) and you will be reporting to President Director.

As the HSSE Manager, you will:

• Be responsible for the overall formulation, implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) management systems and policies.
• Monitor health and safety trends and proactively recommend improvements to prevent incidents. Ensure the compliance in all aspects of HSSE legislations, regulations and associated standards.
• Investigate and analyze incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across all aspects of the organization and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Conduct periodic safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSSE standards and local regulations.
• Establish and promote an enhanced HSSE culture in the workplace and comply with DP World group policies, programs, and initiatives.
• Create and deliver HSSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to enhance awareness and compliance.
• Develop and implement HSSE performance metrics, providing regular reports to management.
• Promote environmental sustainability initiatives to minimize the organization's environmental impact.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• In-depth knowledge of local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a safety-conscious culture.
• Proven experience as an HSSE Manager or a similar role in a highly regulated industry.
• Proficient in using MS Office applications and HSSE management systems.
• Proven leadership optimizing business value and engaging with key stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct data-driven risk assessments and root cause analyses.
• Experience in emergency response planning and incident management.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and a passion for promoting a safe working environment.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Terminal HSSE required and at least 5 years’ in managerial position.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualification/certification in HSSE field.
