The Role


One of our portfolio companies in the consumer goods industry is potentially looking to hire a head of commercial for online channels/ ecommerce.


This role will require to lead and develop different business strategies for ecommerce and social medial channels to drive the sales and to maximize the commercial opportunities. Ensure the brands lead in all aspect along the digital channels and ensure a sustainable and profitable business.


Your Responsibilities Will Include


  • Develop ecommerce sales and marketing investment strategy by working with other departments on plan, budgeting and implementation strategy of online and offline business
  • Leverage and work with principals to understand the brand’s objectives, strategies and consumer insights
  • Develop and implement short, long terms campaigns and strategies to increase ecommerce traffic, conversion, gmv, basket, average order value and profitability
  • Develop vision, growth plan, and strategic priorities to drive and maximize GMV and growth in e-commerce
  • Partner with digital and marketing teams and agencies on 3rd party platforms to ensure all promotional and marketing opportunities are fully supported and executed
  • Build strategic partnership with enablers, ecommerce’s retailers and other digital platforms
  • Drive sales initiatives and provide partners and consumers
  • Develop customer business building proposal in partnership with other departments
  • Create and manage budgeting, sales forecast for online channels

Candidate Requirements


  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, and is confident in managing relationships at all levels.
  • Adaptive, organise, driven and able to work under fast pace
  • Sounds knowledge of ecommerce business model, retail sales , brand management and shopper marketing
  • A business leader with strong commercial and financial acumen
  • A seasoned sales/strategy/marketing in retail and/ ecommerce/ digital platforms.
