Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement the organization's financial strategy, including risk management and forecasting;
2. Use data, reports, and dashboards to measure company results and make informed decisions to ensure sufficient cash flow, reducing operating costs, and boosting business profits;
3. Supervise cash management and budgeting, ensuring expenses are forecasted and controlled;
4. Prepare financial statements and reports, summaries, and forecasts for future business growth;
5. Review accounting procedures for accuracy and compliance;
6. Conduct audits, analyze financial results, and anticipate future needs and trends.
7. Conduct tax reviews and provide support to a tax accountant in preparing and filing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, non-profit organizations, and payroll taxes.
8. Manage relationships with external stakeholders (eg tax accountant, legal counsel, partners, and vendors);
9. Oversee bookkeeping and maintain historical records;
10. Safeguard company operations by documenting and protecting financial information and plans confidentially.
11. Complete other various finance projects as needed.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience as a Financial & Accounting Manager
2. Extensive understanding of financial and accounting reporting and journaling
3. Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
4. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
5. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
6. Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
