Film Video Editor Jobs

Responsibilities

• Updating, maintaining, and ensuring compliance with metadata standards
• Creating the final cut for broadcasting.
• Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
• Quality control – Managing the work of coordinators in delivering films to spec.
• Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
• Being in charge of all processes, procedures and outputs for the the post production department.
• Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list.
• Consulting with the director and production team throughout the project.
• Trimming footage and putting together the rough project.
• Sourcing innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of the Postproduction Unit
• Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe Premier/ After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks and Davinci Resolves.
• Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
• Having minimum 1 years of experience as a Video Editor (Film/Series) as well as a strong portfolio of sample projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design (DKV), Cinematography, Multimedia, Film, Broadcastingor related field.
• Creative and artistic skills.
• Excellent organisation skills, interpersonal and management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and to manage a team
