Emea, Supplier Performance Engineer

Verifying quality and technical requirements achieved for projects, products and service deliveries from Westinghouse – from bid phase and component design through manufacturing. Evaluate new and existing suppliers as requested.

Job Responsibilities: Supplier Performance Engineer is responsible for:

• Identifying, proposing, and supporting implementing performance improvements
• Conducting overall supplier assessments, evaluating suppliers to specific project capabilities and supporting suppliers through technical issues
• Driving the supplier performance, including supplier scorecard. Ensures maximum value is received for the Purchase Order that WEC places to its suppliers, including full compliance to the quality and technical specifications
• Supplier Management:
• Executing technical witness and hold points
• Creating the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule.
• Supplier Evaluation:
• Ensure that a supplier manufacturing facility has all the machines, spare parts, material, components, and supplies require to operate. These goods must comply with Westinghouse’s quality and standards requirements.
• Complying with applicable procedures and standards and ensuring all standards and processes are adequately described in Level 2 and 3 procedures
• Supporting the project management team to interface with Supplier Quality support organizations
• Providing Manufaturing technical expertise
• Ensuring flow down of Quality and technical requirements from Westinghouse contract through to the supplier
• Supporting Commercial Operations and Legal for Quality/technical bases of supplier claims, as required
• Supplier Oversight:
• Personal, industrial, and nuclear safety as a fundamental part of their job
• Identifying, initiating, leading and implementing timely issue resolution strategies for quality/technical issues in supplier products

Minimum Requirements

(Education, years of experience, Certifications, etc.)

• Experience on Oil&Gaz or nuclear projects (beneficial),
• Be familiar with Manufacturing Capability assessment concept/Supplier technical evaluation.
• Fluent in English (TOEIC 850 or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical/Material engineering with progressive technical experience
• Willing to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Material Engineering
• Candidate must meet the criteria for access to the company’s, partners’ and clients ‘technologies
