2D Drafter (3D is even better)
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for mechanical systems and parts.
- Use CAD software to create 2D drawings of components, assemblies, and systems.
- Ensure that all drafting work complies with engineering standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and design teams to create and modify designs and drawings.
- Review and update drafts to reflect changes and modifications in design.
- Produce bill of materials, parts drawings and general assembly drawings.
- Ensure timely completion of drafting projects within budget and quality requirements.
- Archive and maintain engineering drawings for future reference and use.
Requirements:
- A degree, diploma, or certificate in mechanical drafting, engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in 2D drafting software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering or design environment.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment in meeting drafting deliverables.
